This is a critical course designed to ensure the safety and preparedness of new miners entering the industry. This training is required to complete MSHA 46(b) New Miner Certification.

Who Needs 24 Hour New Miner Training?
This course is required for new mining workers to obtain their MSHA 46(b) certification. If you have never taken MSHA training – you must complete MSHA New Miner Certification.
MSHA New Miner Training takes 24 hours to complete although you can start working on site after 8 hours. Mine Safety Center’s 8 hours of training will get you that 8 hours of mandatory training.

Prior to his current role, he worked extensively in the field, specializing in scaffolding, working at heights and construction across various mines and gas plants in the United States. He is an MSHA instructor and a scaffolding instructor, Certified Occupational Hearing Conservationist.
